Nicolás Heredia is a young man who is currently detained since February 5th in the Bariloche prison. Nicolás, originally from Senillosa, was arrested while volunteering as a firefighter to help combat the wildfires that devastated over 70,000 hectares in the Andean region. Friends and family describe him as a humble, charitable, and helpful person, without any negative history.
His mother, Sandra Gramajo, has become one of the main defenders of Nicolás's innocence, claiming that it is unfair and false that he is detained. Despite there being no conclusive evidence against him and the initial negative assessments, the judicial system in Río Negro issued a preventive detention for 30 days.
Nicolás, who was accused of being suspected of arson in El Bolsón, was engaged in community aid work when he was detained. Despite the circumstances, his family and friends continue to fight for his freedom, organizing mobilizations and receiving support from various social, labor, and political organizations throughout the country.
Nicolás's mother recounts that since he was little, he has always been charitable and willing to help those in need. Despite the difficult situation he is in, Nicolás continues to show resilience and hopes to prove his innocence and regain his freedom as soon as possible.
